About FEUER

The Fellowship of Evangelists in the Universities in EuRope (FEUER) is a network of men and women who are committed to seeing the good news of Jesus Christ proclaimed publicly in the universities of Europe.

We do this through talks, lectures and public debates, bearing witness to the truth, the goodness and the power of the gospel.  We seek to do this biblically, presenting the truth about Jesus revealed in God’s word, the Bible;  persuasively, addressing key questions and objections to the Christian faith; and creatively, communicating the truth through music, drama, film and poetry, as well as through talks and debates.

Recognising the scale of the task, we establish partnerships between evangelists working in different contexts in order to support, encourage and train one another.  FEUER itself is a partnership between several organisations already active in evangelism among students, including the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES) and the Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship (UCCF) in the UK.

The Welsh pastor and preacher Martyn Lloyd-Jones (1899-1981) described preaching as “logic on fire.”  We long to see God use this kind of preaching, empowered by the fire of the Holy Spirit, to reawaken the continent of Europe and to bring many to a saving faith in Him.  It is for this reason that FEUER, named after the German word for ‘fire’, exists.

About this blog: FEUER Reports

On this site you will find reports from some of the mission weeks in which FEUER members have been involved.  We hope you will find them encouraging and inspiring as you hear about how God is at work among students in Europe.  And we hope they will help you to pray for the many students who have heard about Jesus, that many of them would trust Him for themselves.
